So interesting ! I looove Pinterest, it’s my bubble of happiness within the noisy social media world. Their algorithm is so smart, like recently you can choose the skin color when searching for makeup inspiration.

What kind of content would you recommend to create on Pinterest as a brand ? I’m a wedding startup owner and Pinterest is a big part of our marketing strategy but we definitely need to go deeper.

With Pinterest, I think having lifestyle imagery that feels aspirational is always going to win out - especially in a category like weddings (I planned my whole wedding on Pinterest). I would imagine that keywords and tagging are key too - thinking about what potential brides are searching for, wedding trends... Also, I've heard promoting guides on Pinterest works really well too. Maybe a "getting started with wedding planning" guide or something.

Great deep dive into Pinterest! And LOVE that you shouted out Deux x Deuxmoi. I’m living for the way Deuxmoi is doing partnerships like this one and Violet Grey. Super thoughtful and well curated, amplified by that ‘90s tabloid-style content 🤩

Love the takes on Pinterest—people are craving a less “keep up with the joneses/kardashians/influencers” space, which is also why I think more and more people are turning to substack. Pinterest predictions are one of my favorite company reports!

Also fun to consider the Deux partnership—I think pop culture crossovers are a must for consumer or consumer-adjacent brands. Though have to admit, not being familiar with the Deux brand, I thought this was a cookie dough flavored body scrub or something!
